New York or New Haven or All Our Own, Boca Raton Knows Pizza

Written on June 7, 2013 at 12:11 pm

Slice-of-PizzaThe month of May may have been National Hamburger Month – and October may be the official Pizza Month. But at Danburg Properties of Boca Raton and many of our office, commercial and warehouse space tenants, every month could be national pizza month. And there’s no better city than Boca Raton to be a fan of great pizza.

Throughout Boca Raton, the Danburg team, tenants and business associates alike have a multitude of tasty options. We serve up – in no particular order – some fan favorites culled from the ranks of Danburg and our friends…

Nick’s New Haven Pizza. Outsiders may wonder what makes New Haven pizza remarkable. Insiders know. Enough of those voted with their tastebuds that Nick’s was voted number one “Favorite Local Pizza” in South Florida. Nick’s is located at Glades Plaza 2240 NW 19th Street, Suite 904 Boca Raton 33431; 561-368-2900.

PieZano’s Pizza & Pasta. Loved for its Sicilian and white pizzas (among other delights), PieZano’s also features appetizers like baked clams oreganata, calamari friti and mozzarella di casa, and entrees that include chicken parmigiana, shrimp parmigiana and veal pizzaiola. PieZano’s is located at 4131 N. Federal Highway Boca Raton; 561-347-9777.

Dominic’s II  at Glades and 441 in The Home Depot plaza is considered by some the best mom/pop Italian food in the area. Everything is home made, especially the sauces. Said one fan, “My wife and I have eaten at all the local Boca joints and nothing compares. Pizza joints come and go. Dominics remains. Even Zaget knows best!”

Others include Tucci’s Fire & Coal Pizza Wood Fire, appreciated not only for its pizza but its entire menu; Renzo’s of Boca on Federal Highway; Tomasso’s Pizza and Subs on Palmetto Park Road, known for the biggest slices in town; and Cannoli Kitchen. Then there’s Brooklyn Boys on the northeast corner of Glades and 441, lauded for its slices and or pies that leave fans – especially New Yorkers – smitten with the taste of NY pizza.

Some even like Publix’s Greenwise Organic Pizza, built of thin crust and many veggie options.

Like these? Enjoy. Know of others? Let us know.
