‘Singing and Swinging’ – Jazz & Swing Come to Boca Festival Days on August 25

Jazz and swing hit the stage on August 25 as Boca Festival Days celebrates The Boca Children’s Museum’s  “Singing and Swinging in the Pines.” Sponsored by Danburg Management Corp., this recreation of a jazz club experience will feature legendary jazz diva Joan Cartwright and her trio. They’ll be followed by sensational local saxophonist Sid Parker and his Swing Band Quartet.

Also co-sponsored by Daszkal Bolton, Toshiba and Goldstein Lewin CBIZ, the event will be held on Saturday, August 25 at 6PM at the Children’s Museum of Boca Raton (498 Crawford Boulevard, Boca Raton 33432). Tickets are $35 per person. For …

Beginning Friday, July 27, the eyes of the world will be focused on London for the 2012 Summer Olympics.  For two weeks every four years, Americans will actually care about track and field, gymnastics and swimming. We’ll also debate whether the latest incarnation of the Dream Team could beat the legendary 1992 squad. And of course, we’ll enjoy some of the more obscure events such as trampoline, archery, badminton and poodle clipping… Poodle clipping?
