As long as Adam Rydzewski can remember, he’s wanted to be an architect.

He eyed the profession as a child in his native Poland. He told his parents soon after immigrating to New York in 1988 that if he didn’t attend the city’s High School of Art and Design, he’d head home to pursue his dream.

After graduation, he enrolled in the University of Miami School of Architecture, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree.

“After that, I just decided to stay,” he says.
